  • What is an RV campground?

A recreational vehicle park (RV park) or caravan park is a place where people with recreational vehicles can stay overnight, or longer, in allotted spaces known as "sites" or "campsites". They are also referred to as campgrounds, though a true campground also provides facilities for tent camping; many facilities calling themselves "RV parks" also offer tent camping or cabins with limited facilities.

An RV Campground is generally your most basic setup. These sites are usually more rustic and closer to primitive camping than a park or resort, and they have a greater emphasis on nature and scenic views than amenities. Your neighbors can range from other coaches to pitched tents, and stays are usually shorter.

  • What are some RV camping tips?

When figuring out the best way to pack your RV, think about what your days will look like. Will you be hiking, biking? Make a list of the gear and clothing you’ll need for daily activities so you don’t forget the gear that would be expensive to replace during the trip.

Also prepare for the daily, routine activities as well. Make a list of items you’ll use in the kitchen, the bathroom, and don’t forget, bedding, chairs and other essential items you will use daily. Check out this RV packing list:

    • Make a List of Necessary Items Based on Daily Activities.
    • Bring Some Entertainment.
    • Plan Your Meals and Bring Food With You.
    • Bring Basic Tools, But Don't Over Do It.
    • Dump Tanks Early and Often.
    • Pack Light and Evenly.
    • Leave The Breakables At Home.
  • Can you tell me more about your campground spring fed lakes?

Spring fed lakes usually have very clean water. Most spring fed lakes are less susceptible to low water levels during droughts. Because spring fed lakes always have an outlet, they are less likely to be affected by flooding. Spring lakes are the headwaters of many streams and are a fairly common type of lake. We have 4 of these at the Kenisee Grand River Campground! They are beautiful year round. People love swimming at our campground and hiking along the rivers. You can feel  safe that you're family is swimming and enjoying pristine clean spring-fed lake waters. Reserve your campground today and enjoy the Summer swimming with your family!
